PAIN

Posted on Aug 23rd, 2008 by Miriam : Oracle Miriam
Transmuting the deep pain associated with feelings of abondonment takes courage.

It takes courage because to transmute the pain we have to face it.

I'm staring mine in the face right now and it looks like a frightened little girl who has never learned to trust that love has the power to stay. This vulnerable little girl was left in the forest to fend for herself on a cold, dark night.

She nearly went insane when the ghosts started dancing faster and faster around her, feeding on her fear, taunting her and telling her how unlovable she was. She felt paralysed... Then, looking at the silvery face of the waning moon, she found her voice and started howling... like a wolf calling for its kin. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.... ooooooo... ooooooooooooo

None of this is real. She remembered that these lessons in un-love that come to us because others do not have the courage to keep their hearts open only have one purpose: to burn away everything in our personality that wants to stop the flow of love.

Sister wolf came to this frightened but brave little girl and taught her that there were others out there like her. Seers, healers and oracles who had the gift of remembering the true nature of souls. 'These are your real family', she said. 'One by one you will gather them together. You are needed in these dark times. On your journeys, you will touch and transform many hearts by the light of your own courage. I cannot promise that you will find happiness while you walk on earth, but you will know eternal joy.'

The little girl climbed up on the back of sister wolf and they flew through the forest beneath the silvery moon. Slowly, the shadows changed and the golden rays of the early morning sun bounced off the dew on leaves and grass. Sister wolf took the girl to the foot of a mountain, and when the girl stepped on the soft emerald green grass, she noticed that her foot was that of a young woman.

She went to a beck flowing through the glade nearby, and looked at her reflection. The frightened little girl was gone - replaced by a radiant woman with unusual depth in her eyes. A white butterly landed on her right shoulder as she got up to thank sister wolf. She was ready to climb that mountain now.

Only love is real.

Dear Miriam,

Because I was so touched by this story (as well as your profile) and the answer you gave on the comment I made ( on this same post)  in the Gaia Lounge Pod, I wanted to add something that to me is very healing and soothing. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do:
