Venus Speaks - The White Dove of True Love
Journeying through the Major Arcana of the Lover's Path Tarot
FORTUNE - (trad. X The Wheel of Fortune)
Danae was loved by a god, and not just any god, but the boss, Zeus, took her under his wing and protected her from her cruel father who had locked her into a tower because he feared that her offspring would kill him. Zeus became the father of Danae's son Perseus who did indeed end up killing Danae's father... The wheel turns no matter who tries to stop it.
I like the slightly bewildered look on Danae's face in this card. I mean, who wouldn't be... flippin' Zeus! Still, you wouldn't exactly complain either if a god decided to make you his lover and gave you everything you wanted and more...
Speaking of feeling bewildered... Last September I had a vision during meditation. The Lord Yeshua came to me, placed his hands on my head and said, you are now a member of the Order of the White Dove. Trust me, I don't get visions like this every day! It was an intensely peaceful and beautiful moment, but I didn't know what to do with it after I came out of the meditation.
The following morning, I pulled a card each from two separate Tarot decks for guidance about the vision I'd had and both cards were the Ace of Cups, traditionally depicted with the White Dove of the Holy Spirit descending over the Grail chalice. You can imagine how overwhelmed I felt by the confirmation. I remained clueless about what to do with this initiation, but kept trusting that I would get guidance as and when I needed it.
Then a couple of months ago, I got the urge to do a Google search about "the Order of the White Dove" and found a link to Gaia. One of the members had written a blog about a lady named Almine. I tried contacting this Gaian but never got a reply, and I also tried contacting Almine who apparently founded an order called the Order of the White Dove upon receiving a vision last September. Again no reply.
So here I was, guided by the hand of Fortune... still with no clue what to do with my vision. Then I started meeting some truly wonderful people on here and didn't care so much about the vision any more until the other day when I found myself at Waterstone's. I walked up to the esoteric section and pulled out a book about Animal Medicine that I'd never seen before and it fell open to the page about the White Dove. It represents Soulmate love... my heart sang! Finally, a clue that I resonated with... something that made complete and utter sense.
Then, this morning, a little voice whispered in my mind that the White Dove was connected with Venus, goddess of love. I'd totally forgotten about this, and I can't begin to tell you how embarrased this makes me feel since my Soul card in the Tarot is the Empress/Venus. Only yesterday had I stumbled on a completely fascinating article about Life on Venus. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together...
The tenth Key of the Major Arcana often indicates that the person who has come for the reading is being divinely guided. Oh yes... Speak Lady, your servant listens!
